PREGNANCY

I’m considering an abortion.

We understand that women and families consider elective abortions for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited to): health, job stability, educational advancement, relationship status, financial concerns, lack of support, limited healthcare access, prenatal diagnosis, etc. Throughout this website, we provide over 60 resource pages to address those concerns so that you have the opportunity to connect with organizations that can assist you in those needs and people who understand your circumstances. You can view our list of topics on our Resources Index page. Below, you can review information regarding pregnancy support options, abortion procedures, clinic concerns (i.e. public health and safety reports), and abortion testimonies.

Please Note: Allay Resources does not recommend or refer to organizations that provide or fund elective abortions.

Abortion Pill Rescue is a program of Heartbeat International. The Abortion Pill Rescue Network (APRN) includes more than 900 professional healthcare providers who assist women that call our helpline. The helpline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our team of consultants.

If you have taken the first dose of the abortion pill (Mifeprex or RU-486) and wish that you could reverse the effects, it may not be too late to save your pregnancy. Call the APRN helpline ASAP to learn about abortion pill reversal and support options.

Here’s how it works:

  1. If you have changed your mind and want to reverse your medication abortion, call (877) 558-0333. Reversal is the most successful within 72 hours.

  2. You will speak with a medical professional to understand the reversal process.

  3. You will be given an ultrasound to confirm that your baby is still alive.

  4. Your healthcare provider will prescribe progesterone. This may be given by injection in the gluteus (“butt”) muscle, or it can be given orally or vaginally.

  5. This treatment will continue in your 1st trimester. The progesterone (that you will be prescribed) is intended outnumber and outcompete the mifepristone in order to reverse the effects of mifepristone.
