PREGNANCY

I’m pregnant and need supportive services.

Pregnancy support is crucial for mothers' mental health. Having a consistent support system can help you navigate the many changes that come with being pregnant and preparing for your motherhood. Whether you have a support system at home or not, you may benefit from visiting a local pregnancy center. Pregnancy centers offer *free, confidential services regardless of insurance or ability to pay. Centers may offer one-on-one support, educational classes, baby items, assistance applying for state aid, community referrals, job assistance, housing assistance, and more.

Do you need extra support during your pregnancy? Here's what you can do:

  1. Locate a pregnancy center near you. Go to www.OptionLine.org -- or text "HELPLINE" to 313131.

  2. Call to ask about available services and to schedule a consultation appointment.

  3. Prepare a list of any questions or needs that you have before your appointment. Maybe you need parenting education, baby items, and formula. Or maybe you have questions about state assistance programs and getting insurance to cover your medical needs. Write it down so that you can feel confident and calm.

  4. Visit the center. Bring a family member or friend if you like.

*While most centers offer free services, some centers may charge for select services.
